- Assessments for speech, language, fluency, and AAC
- Treatment of Speech Sound Disorders including:
- articulation disorders (e.g., /r/distortions)
- phonological disorders (predictable, rule-based errors such as fronting, stopping, or final consonant deletion)
- motor speech disorders (e.g., childhood apraxia of speech)
- Treatment of language disorders including social communication disorders
- Treatment of stuttering using:
- A parent-mediated approach (Lidcombe)
- More direct approaches (e.g., stuttering modification and fluency enhancing strategies)
- Parent coaching for autism using Hanen programs (More Than Words).
- AAC intervention for children who are nonspeaking or minimally speaking.
- Oral narrative language intervention using Story Champs language curriculum.
- Literacy/Reading intervention using Lindamood Bell's LiPs program. The LiPs program focuses on the development of an oral-motor, visual, and auditory feedback system that enables all students to prove the identity, number, and order of phonemes in syllables and words. It is more basic and more extensive than traditional phonics programs.
- Reading intervention including phonological and phonemic awareness, orthographic mapping (e.g. letter sound identification, spelling), semantic/vocabulary knowledge, morphological knowledge (e.g. affixes), reading fluency, and reading comprehension.
